Step 1

Review safety information, legal information, and What’s right for me?

·      These drugs are only available in three-month supplies, so this should be for a medicine which you have taken long enough to know that it is effective for you.

Step 2

List of Canadian drugs icon

Review Canadian drug list

  • This list is limited to maintenance medications for which there are savings to Advantage.

  • More choices may be added in the future, so be sure to check back if your drug is not listed.

  • If you can’t find your drug on this list, please consider ordering from Advantage’s U.S. mail order pharmacy. While your savings for domestic mail order will not be as great, they can be significant.

Step 3

Computer

Complete online order

·         After you select the products you want, proceed to the check-out and you will be required to complete a first-time enrollment form. You can also register first and come back later to place your order. Note: The registration form has a separate scroll button inside the frame. Use it to scroll down as you complete the form. When you have completed it, select "Submit order" at the bottom.

·         Only orders from eligible members of Advantage will be accepted. Therefore, you will be asked to include your name exactly as it appears on your pharmacy benefits manager (Navitus) card.

·         You will be required to read and approve a “customer agreement” that states your rights and obligations.

·         Canadian law requires that a licensed resident physician review and approve a U.S. prescription before it can be filled by a Canadian pharmacy. To assist in this, you will be asked some basic medical information, including your weight, medical conditions, and drug allergies. The Canadian physician may contact your physician if s/he has any questions.

Step 4

Prescription pad

Obtain a three-month prescription and have it faxed

·          You don’t need to wait until your current prescription expires. Simply call your doctor and have him or her write you a three-month prescription with three refills.

·         Try to have your doctor write your prescription for the exact number of pills (typically 90 or 100) that is listed on the drug list. If your prescription does not match the number available through the pharmacy, you may need to call your doctor to resolve this and this may cause some delay.

·         As required by Canadian law, your prescription must include your full name, complete address, and phone number, along with your doctor’s contact information.

·         Have your doctor fax the prescription to: 1-888-431-1185.

Alternatively, you can mail the original prescription to:

·         In the event that you run out of a supply of your medicine before your order arrives, you can obtain an emergency supply from your physician.
